The Golden Spoon


Last night I was invited to Art and Soul Restaurant in the Liaison Hotel for a Moonshine tasting with mixologist Ronald Flores. Because Moonshine is technically illegal he prepared for me three cocktails using White Whiskey— one of which was infused with figs and rosemary. They were kind enough to invite me to stay for dinner and Chef Wes Morton served us housemade charcuterie, leg of lamb with vegetables, shrimp and grits, macaroni and cheese, and desserts that included a pumpkin tart and a deconstructed pecan pie. To say I was stuffed at the end of the meal would be an understatement.
